ORILLIA, ON, May 5 /CNW/ - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has completed its investigation into the disclosure of police information as requested by the Toronto Police Service.
On Saturday April 30, 2011 the Chief of the Toronto Police Service requested that the OPP conduct a criminal investigation into the disclosure of police information. The investigation was conducted by the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Inspector Mike Bickerton. The investigation has concluded and criminal charges will not be laid.
The investigation resulted in the returning of a number of police notebooks to the Toronto Police Service that were in the possession of a former member.
